ImgZen is built from the ground up as a "Privacy-First" client-side web application. When utilizing any of our tools (compression, conversion, AI background cutout, watermark removal, etc.), all file decoding, algorithmic computation, and re-encoding occur strictly inside your device's local browser sandbox.
We make a solemn commitment: your original images, ID photos, documents, and output results are NEVER uploaded to our servers, backed up to the cloud, or accessible by third parties. You can safely process your most sensitive personal and commercial files.
2. Information We Collect
We strictly minimize data collection. To maintain operational stability and enhance tool experience, we only collect essential non-identifying telemetry:
- Non-Personally Identifiable Information (Non-PII):Including browser type, OS version, visit timestamps, preferred language, and anonymous navigation patterns (collected via third-party analytics such as Google Analytics).
- This telemetry is aggregated, strictly anonymous, cannot identify you individually, and is NEVER correlated with your local image data.
3. Cookies & Advertising (Google AdSense)
As a free public service, ImgZen displays non-intrusive advertisements (principally Google AdSense) to offset hosting and maintenance costs.
- Third-party vendors may set and read Cookies (or web beacons) in your browser to collect non-personal visitation data and serve tailored advertisements based on user interests.

4. Local Storage Usage (LocalStorage / IndexedDB)
To provide a seamless workflow, ImgZen utilizes your browser's LocalStorage to persist client preferences (such as Dark Mode theme, last selected output formats, and slider values). This configuration data resides exclusively on your local machine and is never transmitted over the network. You may clear it at any time via your browser settings.
